End of year report from Andrew Haworth

Andrew Haworth

Firstly, I would like to thank you for your business in 2013 and on behalf of all the team at Haworth Castings would like to wish you a happy festive season.

We have had a very busy final quarter with a number of new developments, the main being the change to our management team. We remain fully focussed on enhancing our reputation for producing castings of the highest quality. To that end we have created a new dedicated quality manager role which will be filled by our operations manager Chris Kavanagh, with effect from 1st February 2014.

Chris used to oversee quality and inspection in his previous role but will now be 100% focussed on all quality aspects including BSI accreditation, specific inspection of parts and the general management of all quality initiatives. More detail on this new role is included in this newsletter.

James Edwards has joined us as our new operations manager. James comes to us from another local company and we are very happy to have him join our management team.

The other major development is the relocation in the New Year of our machine shop in Basingstoke. It has been in the same location for over 25 years. We have found a larger more up to date building so we can continue to improve our facilities. The building will give us 75% more work space and will enable us to grow in the future. We see this as a strong signal to our customers that we are expanding and are investing in the very latest machining infrastructure.

We look forward to being of service in 2014 and I will keep you up to date with further developments as they arise.
